Yay!! I just love a good book. One less reason to have to access my phone for references. And we’ve got time before I’ll need to refer to them again! Haha
So slow schooling will be in a book format?!?! 😆😆😆 It’s was the most practical piece of work, advice and ideas I’d ever read and biblical. Such a treasure and I was hoping to have a hard copy of it one day to reference for when my little boy grows up. Just celebrated his first birthday last week and I want to homeschool him. I got your book Practices a while ago and implemented some tips already like planning my day/dinner the night before. It’s been a big help! I’ll be one of the first to order Slow Schooling if that is indeed the plan!!! So excited!!
Love the idea of finding a corner of the internet. Interesting to hear your story, thanks for sharing. I’m glad you’ve found a corner to share in, I always appreciate reading your thoughts.
I too have quit Facebook and Instagram. Too much noise, too much distraction. I appreciate the couple of people I follow on Substack, I don’t have time for any more lol too busy living this beautiful life with my six sweet babies!!
I learn something every time I read your content. I've never heard of substack? haystack? Wait, I've heard of haystacks. Colorado farm girl here.
I passed a milestone this week. A BIRTHDAY. ugh. I'm now 65. Yep. 65. I don't know why it is so hard to say that, or even type it, but there it is. 65 is hard to claim. I cried all day. Sobbed actually. It wasn't until the very end of the day that it occurred to me that I wasn't crying for me or about me, but about loss. This past year our family experienced huge loss. No birthday for any of us will ever be the same because of loss. I was sad. I am sad. I for one, am thankful for Facebook. My sisters and bizzillion cousins are 3,000 miles away. Facebook is the bottle in which we put our messages and send them out to first, anticipate, then click on, more anticipation, then read and react. We laugh or we cry. Sometimes shake our head. Just saying.............. And oh the babies. So many babies that I have yet to meet. But I see them and I love them. Thank you, Facebook. Every morning I walk down the hall of my home and go to work in my home office. I change the flower pictures on the monitors every day and post it on Facebook. It's my "Good Morning World" message. A little brightness to begin our days. I hope you do podcast again one day. You have a lot to share. Thank you Keriemae.
Happy birthday, Sandy--and I do hope you'll find some happiness in another year because you're a beautiful 65. You're one of the most encouraging people I've met on the internet! And I know this past year has been so, so terribly difficult, more than I can even imagine. I pray that the Lord will grant you His comfort and assurance, and that your grief will come to be a gentle reminder of His presence to you. I love that you love Facebook; that's what I hope to find, a little corner of the internet to love that will grant me the same wonderful brightness you have. Many blessings, friend.

What a blessing for your son to be taught at home! And yes--hopefully there will be an actual book. Those wheels do turn slow though 😊
