That is one modality I have not experienced yet! I have been wanting to, and hearing from many people how great it is, and how well it works. I have been trying to encourage Rod to go to quit Smoking. We have a married couple as friends who went together, and did their protocol to quit, and they said it worked. I have many names of acupuncturists, but have no idea which one to go to. Thank you, for this amazing post. I love how you started this blog. It sounded so calming relaxing and serene.
A member of Massage Network Solutions, and who was a Massage Therapist went to Bastyr for acupuncture, and now she practices somewhere in Poulsbo. I should try it. Thank you, Keri and God bless! 💜🙂
It is such a great question and deserves more discussion in a time of such polarity! God blesses us in so many ways through so many people.
I have had the reverse challenge, "why won't you do yoga?"... asks my physical therapist, also a Christian. He respected my choice and we continued to have the greatest discussions every time I saw him. This is why God gives us guidance within us, so that we make decisions based on what He desires for our health and spiritual growth. Our dependence on Him is what is important! Respect for others is also trusting Him 🤗 (and not relying on intellectual sussing it out for a black and white answer?)
KeriMae, you are a gem! I totally share your sentiments here.
I am a retired RN and to be honest bought into the hype that all Eastern practices were bogus. Not anymore! In fact I all but steer clear of our sick-care system and regularly engage in massage, chiropractic therapy and acupuncture. They help way more than pills and surgery. I just wish insurance companies would help pay!
Thank you, Teresa. Insurance companies, of course, are not in the health care business but in the sick care business. No insurance company that I'm aware of will pay for your organic food, gym membership, or other lifestyle and preventative practices. Even if they did, they (not you and your practitioner) would be the driver of how much, how often, etc. You're in good company; I've seen a LOT of nurses turn to other means of promoting health, not just for themselves, but for the people they care for.
